Job Description
The intern will work with the EHS department to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while supporting initiatives to enhance workplace safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site EHS inspections and provide recommendations to plant leaders and the EHS team.
- Participate in EHS walkthroughs and assist in ergonomic assessments to improve workplace safety and well-being.
- Support compliance efforts with federal, state, and company EHS policies and regulations.
- Manage data-related tasks, including SDS acquisition and software updates.
- Assist in job hazard analysis for various tasks and support arc flash implementation.
- Quickly adapt to and learn safety software to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Understanding of EHS practices and regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to safety software systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or GED—Required
- Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate program—Required
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0—Required
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must commit to the full 10-12-week duration of the internship.
