The intern will work with the EHS department to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while supporting initiatives to enhance workplace safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site EHS inspections and provide recommendations to plant leaders and the EHS team.
Participate in EHS walkthroughs and assist in ergonomic assessments to improve workplace safety and well-being.
Support compliance efforts with federal, state, and company EHS policies and regulations.
Manage data-related tasks, including SDS acquisition and software updates.
Assist in job hazard analysis for various tasks and support arc flash implementation.
Quickly adapt to and learn safety software to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
Understanding of EHS practices and regulations.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to safety software systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or GED—Required
Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate program—Required
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0—Required
Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must commit to the full 10-12-week duration of the internship.
