The successful candidate for Managing Director will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to conduct policy analyses, evaluate programs using advanced empirical methods, and develop forecasting models for health care utilization and costs. Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and manage large evaluation contracts including technical direction, financial management, staff management, and client relations
- Design and conduct studies that require advanced empirical methods or mixed quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods
- Effectively oversees production of client-ready deliverables
- Lead large proposals
- Lead research reports and manuscripts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Lead advanced quantitative and/or qualitative analysis

Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Health Services Research, Public Policy or related field with 12+ years of experience in healthcare research and policy analysis
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare research and policy analysis
- Experience analyzing large administrative datasets for program evaluations
- Experience with qualitative data collection and analysis
- Experience managing large, mixed-methods evaluations
- Expertise in the design and implementation of research studies focused on health equity
- Demonstrated quantitative research skills in health policy, program evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
- Track record of conference presentations and publications
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
