We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a contract position in Salem, MA at a hospital. You will use clinical expertise to ensure the safe distribution and management of medications for patients across the lifespan, including newborn through geriatric populations. The role involves reviewing and interpreting medication orders for safety and efficacy, overseeing pharmacy technician activities including medication dispensing and IV compounding, and documenting care in the electronic medical record. Minimum Requirements:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record required.
- Experience with automated dispensing systems such as Omnicell required.
- Ability to review and interpret medication orders for safety and efficacy.
- Experience overseeing pharmacy technician work, including medication dispensing and IV compounding.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 07:00 to 17:30.
- Rotating shifts required: Days and evenings rotate.
