Jones Healthcare Group – Where Innovation Meets Purpose!
Why this Role Matters
Quality is how we keep our promises to customers—and how we protect the work our colleagues put into every run.
This role catches issues early, prevents rework, and helps ensure every order leaves our operation meeting the right standard.
When this role is done exceptionally well, customers receive consistent product, teams move faster with fewer interruptions, and “quality first” stays real on the floor.
As a
Quality Assurance Inspector, you’ll inspect products produced by our Printed Packaging division, spot defects during production and at final inspection, and release acceptable product for shipment—so customers get what they expect, every time.
What You’ll Be Accountable For - Inspect Orders: Check in‑process orders to confirm they meet quality standards from start to finish.
- Verify Press Quality: Review first and last press sheets using vision inspection tools to ensure print accuracy.
- Complete Final Checks: Perform final product inspections before items are approved for shipment.
- Approve Shipments: Release products for shipping once all quality requirements are met.
- Manage Non‑Conforming Product: Identify, label, and isolate product that does not meet standards until a final decision is made.
- Documentation:
- Record quality issues and non‑conformances clearly to support continuous improvement.
- Keep hold and quarantine area records up to date and properly communicated.
- Complete required quality documentation tied to each production order.
- Create customer quality documents, including Certificates of Conformance, as required.
- Calibrate Equipment: Carry out equipment calibration and maintain accurate calibration records.
- Contribute to Improvement: Take part in quality, safety, and environmental improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma (post-secondary diploma in quality assurance or a related field is an asset).
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts, as required by operational needs: 3 shift rotation.
- Experience as a Quality Inspector or in a comparable quality-focused role.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort making quality decisions using defined criteria.
- Ability to follow SOPs consistently and document work clearly and accurately.
- Confidence in using inspection tools and systems (including vision-based inspection where applicable).
- Clear communication and a steady approach when escalating critical defects or concerns.
- A safety- and environment-minded mindset, including reporting risks and potential impacts.
- A collaborative, improvement-focused style that supports a “quality first” culture.
