As an
HSE Co-op, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting real‑world safety and environmental programs. You’ll work closely with the HSE team and operational partners, helping move important initiatives forward while learning how strong HSE practices support employees and the business every day.
What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Support the deployment of key HSE initiatives, including the WSIB Health & Safety Excellence Program.
- Assist with the completion and maintenance of a site‑wide chemical inventory.
- Support the transition of HSE files and records from the shared drive to SharePoint.
- Assist with the creation, organization, and improvement of HSE documentation and document control processes.
- Help organize, track, and report on HSE data to support program effectiveness and compliance.
- Provide administrative and project support to the HSE team as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, Occupational Health, Science, or a related field preferred).
- Availability to work full‑time for the summer term.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage document‑heavy work accurately and efficiently.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools; SharePoint experience is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Interest in workplace health, safety, and environmental programs.

Total Rewards
We’re offering competitive compensation with a starting rate of $20.00 per hour, based on a 35-hour week. Pay will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
