A contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services for the 26/27 school year. This part-time role focuses on providing 1:1 support to a 4th-grade student, assisting with both translation and instruction in American Sign Language (ASL).
Responsibilities Include
- Delivering remote sign language interpreting services to facilitate effective communication.
- Providing ASL instruction tailored to the individual needs of the student.
- Collaborating with educational staff to enhance the student's learning experience.
- Ensuring accurate and clear translation during educational activities.
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and experience teaching ASL.
- Previous experience as a sign language interpreter, especially in virtual or telehealth settings.
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students on a one-to-one basis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support student learning.
