Position Summary:
The Data Scientist for Supply Chain and Compliance will play a crucial role in developing and implementing data science solutions that support the Inmar Intelligence Platform’s Supply Chain and Compliance capabilities. Depending on experience, this role can range from a junior position focusing on foundational data science tasks to a more senior role involving the design and deployment of advanced machine learning models and analytics solutions.
Reporting to the Director of Data Science or a Senior Data Scientist, the Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, product management, and other data scientists, to deliver data-driven solutions that align with the strategic goals related to our Supply Chain Products & Compliance Solutions. This position is ideal for data scientists at various career stages who are eager to apply their technical skills to solve real-world problems in the healthcare industry.
Primary Accountabilities:
Data Science and Model Development
Develop and deploy machine learning models, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions to enhance the Healthcare Supply Chain & Compliance capabilities.
Analyze and interpret large, complex healthcare datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that inform product development and strategic decision-making.
Support the building and optimization of data pipelines, ensuring data quality and consistency across the platform.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Teamwork
Work closely with the Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product Management teams to implement data science solutions within the platform’s architecture.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment of data science initiatives with broader platform development goals.
Collaborate with product management to ensure that data science outputs meet business requirements and support product features.
Continuous Learning and Innovation
Stay current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, applying new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
Participate in team learning sessions, workshops, and code reviews to continuously improve skills and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
Depending on experience, mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on best practices in data science, model development, and data management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on machine learning, predictive analytics, and AI, including experience in the healthcare sector preferred but not required.
Proficiency in data science programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, with experience using data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
Understanding of data engineering principles, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and develop scalable data science solutions that drive business impact.
