Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing
IN State Pharmacy Technician License
Education: HS Diploma
Years of Experience: 1 + years in a LTC setting
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $26.00
Background/ Drug Requirements: Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen
Dispensing Pharmacy TechnicianJob Responsibilities:• Accurately prepare and dispense medications for long-term care facility residents according to prescriptions and facility protocols
• Review medication orders for completeness and accuracy before filling
• Package medications in compliance with LTC requirements, including blister packs, unit dose, and multi-dose packaging systems
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor medication stock levels
• Process refill requests and communicate with nursing staff regarding medication needs
• Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of all medications
• Assist with medication cycle fills and emergency medication requests
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with pharmacy standards
• Document all dispensing activities accurately in pharmacy management systems
• Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication-related issues
• Follow all safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and state pharmacy laws
• Participate in quality assurance activities and medication error prevention initiatives
