Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing
IN State Pharmacy Technician License
Education: HS Diploma
Years of Experience: 1 + years in a LTC setting
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $26.00
Background/ Drug Requirements: Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen
Data Entry Pharmacy TechnicianJob Responsibilities:• Enter prescription orders accurately into the pharmacy management system for long-term care facilities
• Process medication orders received from physicians and nursing staff in a timely manner
• Update patient profiles with current medication lists, allergies, and relevant clinical information
• Review and verify prescription data for completeness and accuracy before processing
• Maintain organized records of all data entry activities and documentation
• Communicate effectively with nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and healthcare providers
• Assist with billing processes and insurance claim submissions as needed
• Generate reports for medication administration records and facility audits
• Monitor and respond to electronic prescription requests and refill authorizations
• Support inventory management by entering medication stock information
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure smooth workflow operations
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
