PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Production Worker, works in a clean room environment, operates closure / desiccant assembly machines, closure bagging machines to produce finished goods according to customer/stock specifications. In addition, rakes parts from presses for work-in-process requirements. Performs quality checks and packages finished goods according to the production order/customer specification.
Key Accountabilities
- Performs all tasks necessary to operate mobile equipment according to procedure.
- Implements customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the customer specification.
- Packages and labels finished products according to the Control Plan.
- When an order ends, performs a line clearance.
- Actively communicates with coworkers – key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
- Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
- Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
- Maintains 5S environment in work area, and ability to lift up to 56 pounds, and move 200 pounds.
- Sweeps any debris from work area in the production area and machinery.
- Retrieve IPC samples during production and perform IPC according to quality instructions.
- Collect and document PDS/TGS samples according to quality instructions during validation period.
- Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
- May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
