Production Operator PPP NA, Gx Berlin, Ohio

Main tasks
- Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Operator operates Injection or operates stretch blow molding presses, to produce work-in-process and finished goods according to customer/stock specifications. Performs quality checks according to the production order/customer specification.
Area of responsibility - Overall responsible for all activities within PPP NA (Gx Berlin, Ohio)
- Performs all tasks necessary to operate mobile equipment according to procedure.
- Implements customer required quality requirements by performing specified quality checks/inspections per the customer specification.
- Packages and labels finished products according to the Control Plan.
- When an order ends, performs a line clearance.
- Actively communicates with coworkers – key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
- Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
- Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
- Maintains 5S environment in work area, and ability to lift up to 56 pounds, and move 200 pounds.
- Sweeps any debris from work area in the production area and machinery.
- Be able to perform color changes and appropriate line clearance procedures when needed.
- Manually fill day bins, color bins, clean out and exchange resin gaylords as they empty.
- Put away finished products once released by quality.
- Operate equipment for packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment.
- Load and unload trailers as needed
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Collect and document PDS/TGS samples according to quality instructions during validation period.
- Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
- May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
