Job Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Continuous Improvement Projects:
- Lead and manage continuous improvement projects across operations.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Develop and execute improvement plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Shop Floor Processes:
- Focus on optimizing shop floor processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Analyze and improve workflows, equipment utilization, and product issues to maximize productivity.
- Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.
- Product Details and SOPs:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and refine product details and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maximise the harmonization across all sites for similar SOP’s.
- Develop training programs and provide guidance to operations teams on updated SOPs and best practices.
- Batch Size Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize batch sizes to balance production efficiency with inventory management and demand forecasting.
- Identify opportunities to reduce/increase batch sizes without compromising product quality or regulatory compliance.
- Work with production planning teams to implement batch size optimization strategies.
- Yield and Rejection Management:
- Monitor and analyze yield and rejection rates to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement corrective actions and preventive measures to reduce rejection rates and enhance yield.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of product quality.
- Root Cause Identification and Improvement:
- Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations, product defects, and operational challenges.
- Develop and implement improvement plans to address identified root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Utilize data-driven approaches and problem-solving techniques to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cross Collaboration:
- Work closely with R&D and Technology Transfer (TT) teams to troubleshoot operational challenges for specific products.
- Provide technical expertise and support for the development and scale-up of new products and processes.
- Collaborate with the packing development team to support their initiatives and ensure the successful implementation of packaging improvements.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of packaging processes, materials, and designs to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Education
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Management/ Engineering/ Pharmacy, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational excellence within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
- Experience with Minitab, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and root cause analysis.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
