General Summary And Purpose
The Quality Control Inspector is a core team member of the Quality Department. The Quality Control Inspector ensures that required testing is performed to the highest degree of detail to ensure safety and consistency for BioLife’s customers. The role will perform all functions in compliance with Company Policies and Quality Systems.
Duties And Responsibilities
50 – 80% of time:
- Performs line clearance of the inspection and finishing area during product finishing activities, including: removal of batch related materials from the area, disposal of rejected materials, staging of materials.
- Performs finished product inspection for defects and removes defects. Ensures that products meet specifications for appearance and container integrity. Completes end of batch reconciliation and count verification.
- Consistently performs product labeling and secondary. Replenishes packaging materials to work areas.
- Ensures the receipt and storage of quarantined products is done in accordance with company procedures.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure that job functions are performed under compliance.
- Performs inventory on finished product retain samples.
- Effectively completes any assigned training in a timely manner.
20 – 50% of time:
- Performs regular maintenance of equipment and ordering of supplies, as needed.
- Authors and reviews Quality Control controlled documents, as needed.

Reporting Relationships
This position reports to the Manager, Quality Control .
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills including some technical writing skills and spreadsheet management. Able to communicate in person and via email clearly, concisely, and politely.
- This position requires a person who is highly organized and detail oriented and must meet performance expectations on schedule.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust work load based on changing priorities.
- Must be able to perform controlled paced, repetitive operations with a high degree of accuracy.
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and must be able to lift a minimum of 50Lbs.
- Must not have unusual sensitivity to typical laboratory chemicals (i.e. sanitization agents).
- Must be able to perform visual inspection of finished goods. Must have good visual acuity and color perceptions and have good manual dexterity.
- May occasionally be required to work overtime and weekends as needed.

The US base salary range for this position at full-time is $40,881 – $57,211.yr Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, location, and market competitive benchmarks. Individual pay within a level is determined by work location (including geographic pay zone region), job related skills, experience, education, and training.
