Calibration and Spare Parts Coordinator
This position reports to the Maintenance Manager, Facilities and Engineering. The Calibration and Spare Parts Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective management of calibration activities, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and overseeing critical spare parts inventory. This role involves vendor management, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and overseeing the execution of calibration schedules and maintaining accurate records.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Calibration Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact on calibration processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal quality protocols.
- Vendor Management: Manage third-party calibration providers, including performance monitoring, and hosts and guide third-party vendors during on-site calibration activities.
- Compliance and Investigations: Investigate compliance deviations related to calibration activities and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure all calibration activities meet regulatory and quality system requirements.
- Asset Management: Add and maintain new instruments requiring calibration in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of calibration schedules and history.
- Critical Spare Parts Management: Track and monitor all critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability. Work with procurement to order and maintain necessary stock levels through the established procurement process.
- Production Coordination: Coordinate with production teams to schedule and secure downtime required for calibration activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Necessary Skills:
- High School Diploma required.
- 3+ years of experience in calibration or related roles in a pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proficiency with CMMS software (Blue Mountain preferred)
- Knowledge of calibration standards and regulatory compliance.
- Detail oriented and able to balance multiple deadlines at one time.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Knowledge of cGMPs and GDP
- Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods when required.
