Summary
In this role, you will act as the financial analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support business decision making. The Sales Operations Sr Director partners with the company’s leaders to provide strategic support around sales territory structure, revenue and expense management. The Sr. Director plays a key role in challenging and supporting business partners, anticipating business challenges, and driving optimal decision-making through sound financial insights. This role involves overseeing data load processes, reporting, and analytics to provide actionable insights and guide decision-making across all levels.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations for the Sales Operations team.
- Collaborate and build solid relationships with senior leaders across the company to ensure financials accurately reflect operations, strategy, and risks/opportunities.
- Demonstrates thought leadership to supervise and coordinate preparation of monthly and quarterly forecast updates to drive short and long-term business decisions that sustain and/or augment competitive advantage.
- Develops and maintains KPIs (key performance metrics) and predictive analyses to forecast future growth, product mix and profitability.
- Develop and maintain a robust revenue tracking approach to allow validation of sales plan, revenue & expense forecasts.
- Partner with PRS and Contract Compliance teams at Vizient to provide updates on missing contracts prior to PRS close.
- Identify major anomalies in reporting and provide detailed analysis of both positive and negative trends.
- Research and resolve reporting issues submitted by the Sales team, collaborating with Vizient Finance, Accounting and Member Value team as needed.
- Oversee data validation and load processing within Business Intelligence tools and applications.
- Deliver in-depth analysis of key business data and provide actionable recommendations for organizational improvement.
- Develop, test, and generate routine and custom analytical reports using Business Intelligence tools and SQL.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze monthly data reporting to support business needs.
- Perform data mining and analysis to validate requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Test functionality and data accuracy to ensure the quality of reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree desired.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience required, with demonstrated success in data analytics and sales operations.
- Expertise in SQL, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or other reporting tools required.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access required.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing excellent customer service and driving results.
Estimated Hiring Range
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $223,200.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
