Job Summary: The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering training courses on ScriptPro systems, hardware, and computer peripherals to internal customer support positions. A successful candidate is a self-motivator with excellent time management skills, who has the capacity to quickly become a subject matter expert. Our goal is to provide top-notch technical training and documentation to ensure our customer support staff has the knowledge to provide world-class service to our customers.
Reporting Relationship: Manager, Technical Training
Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm CST. This role is on a hybrid work schedule; mix of remote and in office. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
Scope of the Role:
- Develop and conduct training programs on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ScriptPro hardware and software systems
- Conduct learning needs analysis by working with SMEs to analyze, understand, and document complex hardware, software, and system functionalities, and then translate those needs into curriculum design
- Write and review documentation, including technical procedures and training materials
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments on all assigned training courses
- Design and conduct train-the-trainer sessions to facilitate transfer of knowledge to other trainers
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage concurrent deadlines
- Install and test software products in training lab environment
- Maintain training room equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in technology, education, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years experience providing training, education, or technology support
- Previous experience conducting classroom training on hardware and software products
- Working knowledge of systems administration, networking, client/server applications and hardware configuration
- Working knowledge of desktop and peripheral troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS (NT/XP/7/8)
- Basic understanding of connectivity and networking concepts
- Experience with a remote support tool (pcAnywhere, Bomgar, etc.)
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Experience writing technical documentation and procedures
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of ScriptPro systems and internal troubleshooting resources preferred
Remote Work Requirements:
- Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection
- Must have a distraction free home office workspace
- Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)

Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and expected to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required.
