Job Description
Cintas is seeking a Distribution Planner. Responsibilities include maintaining proper inventory levels, safety stock material maintenance and emblems to minimize backorders and ensure service level targets are being met for their assigned DCs; regularly reviewing and managing stock transfer orders (STOs) from the distribution center to cover inventory needs; working directly with the Buyer I and Buyer II positions to ensure inventory needs are met, as well as the DC team to ensure backorders are fulfilled quickly with incoming inventory; working with emblem suppliers to ensure proper inventory levels; reviewing and setting emblem min/max reorder points; reviewing inventory turns so DCs are not over stocked; managing irregular inventory; being proactive in identifying, resolving and communicating issues and potential issues on delivery dates, backorders and impacts to inventory, as well as informing management of resolutions; assisting DCs in communication on backorders and recoveries.
Skills/Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Supply Chain or Operations Management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and intranet/internet
- Ability to look at large amounts of data and break it down into necessary and meaningful business information
- Ability to analyze all data necessary to manage assigned DCs
- Experience with SAP
