Overview
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning and implementing various marketing projects to support specific business units within Contec. This position will focus on digital marketing initiatives, project management of various campaigns, and channel partner engagement to help support building the brand, driving demand, and optimizing operations within the department.
Responsibilities
Digital Marketing
- Leads social media efforts on selected channels, including planning, content development, posting, and monitoring.
- Develops email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, as well as event and product promotions.
- Supports the development and implementation of website content. Collaborates with global partners (as needed).
- Manages leads for the business unit obtained through the website and relays them to respective team members.
Project Management
- Manages the planning and execution of campaigns/projects (e.g. tradeshow planning, advertising, etc.) with external partners.
- Oversees photo and video shoots with multimedia to ensure successful completion and implementation (e.g. website, collateral, sales enablement platform, etc.).
- Facilitates collateral creation and approval process (catalogs, flyers, literature sheets, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Supports the implementation of trade shows and sponsored or local events, including organizing booth assets and required samples.
Channel Partner Engagement
- Manages distributor request fulfillment (copy and photo requests)
- Coordinates training with business unit and multimedia teams, as needed
Other
- Assists other members of the Marketing Department with other duties as required
- Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or related field from four-year college or university; three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training in a Marketing role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), with an intermediate level of skill in creating and managing complex spreadsheets in Excel, and the ability to learn and become proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Content Management Software (CMS) systems is required.
- Ability to write professional and detailed emails to customers (internal and external) is also required.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit or stand at their workstation while operating a computer. The associate is occasionally required to move from one work area to another. The associate will regularly lift and/or move boxes of products and supplies for trade shows (packing and unpacking items), and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more in a warehouse environment. The associate must regularly receive and communicate information from a variety of sources including email, phone, video conference and in person. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus while using a computer and reviewing marketing collateral.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate and in an open office environment.
Some overnight travel will be required (less than 25% per year) for tradeshows and industry events.
