Job Summary
You will be part of Esco’s Engineering team and contribute to the overall site mission and objectives. The Project Engineer (Mechanical Engineer – HVAC) supports the planning, design, coordination, and execution of HVAC projects, particularly for healthcare, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing facilities. The role involves assisting in design development, site coordination, documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards under the supervision of the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Coordination & Site Support
- Assist in conducting site meetings with clients and perform site inspections to monitor progress, document findings, and report issues to the Project Manager.
- HVAC System Design Support
- Assist in the design of HVAC systems in compliance with regulatory standards such as DOH, FDA, PIC/S, USP, ISO, ASHRAE, and WHO.
- ESCO Product Integration
- Integrate ESCO products and solutions into HVAC system designs to meet client requirements, ensuring compatibility, performance efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards.
- CAD Drafting & Technical Documentation
- Prepare and update CAD drawings and technical design documents based on project requirements and engineer inputs.
- Procurement Support
- Assist in preparing bid documents, technical specifications, and purchase orders; coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Project Coordination & Reporting
- Support coordination meetings with clients and contractors; track action items, monitor schedules, and follow up on deliverables.
- Testing, Commissioning & Validation Support
- Assist in testing and commissioning activities, ensuring systems meet design parameters and regulatory requirements.
- Project Closeout Support
- Assist in compiling turnover documents, facilitating client sign-offs, and securing required certificates upon project completion.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Licensed Mechanical Engineer (preferred or pursuing licensure)
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in HVAC, construction, or project engineering
- Experience in healthcare or cleanroom environments is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and design principles
- Familiarity with standards such as ASHRAE, ISO, DOH, FDA, etc.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Basic understanding of testing and commissioning processes
- Familiarity with ESCO products or similar cleanroom/controlled environment solutions is an advantage
Project & Coordination Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to assist in scheduling, documentation, and reporting
- Good coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders
