Key responsibilities include participating in multidisciplinary meetings to determine appropriate evaluations for students and contributing to eligibility meetings by interpreting evaluation results for teams and parents. Although involvement in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development may occur, the primary focus is on evaluation consultation and interpretation to support student needs.
Qualifications
- Active Florida DOH and DOE licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in school settings and with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to engage in referral and eligibility meetings effectively
- Familiarity with special education evaluation processes and IEP procedures
- Completion or ability to complete required fingerprinting and background checks through the AHCA Clearinghouse, including applying for a JLA badge if necessary
