This full-time, contract position seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide specialized support within K-12 self-contained programs in Jacksonville, FL. The role is itinerant, offering the opportunity to serve 5-7 schools by collaborating closely with teachers in behavioral interventions and data-driven strategies. This position requires an on-site presence and provides a dynamic school-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer support to teachers through observations, strategy modeling, and assistance with data collection.
- Develop and implement Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans.
- Provide expert guidance to optimize behavioral outcomes for students within self-contained classrooms.
- Remain itinerant across assigned schools to ensure consistent and effective behavioral support.
- Collaborate with school teams to foster positive learning environments.
Qualifications And Experience
- Active BCBA licensure is mandatory.
- Experience working with K-12 students in self-contained programs preferred.
- Strong ability to model behavior strategies and assist staff in data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with Florida's fingerprinting requirements and ability to obtain necessary clearances and JLA badge before starting.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is located in Jacksonville, FL.
- Full-time commitment, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day).
- Contract duration: ASAP start through 5/28/2026.
- On-site presence is required; no remote or VOCO options available.
