The Manager, Business Data Intelligence provides strategic and operational leadership for FFF Enterprises’ Business Data Intelligence Analyst function, ensuring disciplined requirements management, strong stakeholder alignment, and structured governance across analytics and reporting initiatives.
This role oversees a team of Business Analysts responsible for translating business strategy into clearly defined actionable requirements that drive enterprise reporting, data platform, and analytical initiatives. The Manager ensures that all analytics requests are properly scoped, prioritized, documented, and aligned with enterprise data standards before development begins.
A collaborative and structured leader, this role partners closely with the Manager of Business Intelligence and Reporting (dotted-line alignment), Data Engineering, Finance, Sales, Operations, and IT leadership to improve delivery efficiency, reduce rework, and elevate the maturity of the analytics lifecycle. Essential Functions and Duties
Operational Oversight & Strategic Direction:
- Provide direct leadership and oversight of the Business Analyst team, ensuring consistent execution of requirements standards and stakeholder engagement practices.
- Define and manage departmental goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with enterprise analytics objectives.
- Establish structured intake, prioritization, and backlog governance processes for analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Ensure traceability from business requirement through report delivery and KPI validation.
- Partner with Reporting and Data Engineering leadership to align roadmap priorities and capacity planning.
Requirements Governance & Business Partnership:
- Standardize BRDs, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria documentation across the organization.
- Ensure requirements are complete, testable, measurable, and aligned to certified enterprise datasets.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to functional leaders including Sales, Finance, Warehouse Operations, and Customer Service.
- Facilitate structured discovery sessions to define KPIs, metrics, and measurable business outcomes.
- Reduce downstream development rework through disciplined upstream documentation and scope control.
Reporting & BI Alignment:
- Maintain strong functional alignment with the Manager of Business Intelligence and Reporting team.
- Ensure seamless handoff of requirements into Power BI, Qlik, and enterprise reporting workflows.
- Collaborate on KPI standardization, semantic layer alignment, and metric governance.
- Participate in dashboard prioritization and release planning discussions to ensure business clarity.
- Drive transparency and accountability across the analytics lifecycle.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate business analysis workflows to improve efficiency, clarity, and speed of delivery.
- Implement measurable improvements in intake quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and delivery cycle time.
- Develop performance dashboards and reporting that monitor BA team effectiveness and backlog health.
- Support change management initiatives that strengthen enterprise analytics maturity.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Provide direct leadership, coaching, and performance management for Business Analysts and Senior Business Analysts.
- Build a high-performing, accountable team culture grounded in clarity, ownership, and collaboration.
- Develop staff capabilities through mentoring, structured training, and career progression planning.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and provide consistent, constructive feedback.
- Identify future leadership potential and support succession planning within the analytics organization.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree inBusiness Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Analytics, or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of enterprise reporting and analytics environments.
- Knowledgeof requirements management methodologies and documentation standards.
- Understanding of KPI design, data governance principles, and semantic layer concepts.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Qlik, or modern BI platforms.
- Knowledge of structured intake and portfolio prioritization frameworks.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in business analysis, analytics, or related functions.
- Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience managing Business Analysts.
- Proven experience standardizing requirements processes across multiple business functions.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with Reporting, Data Engineering, and IT teams.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide analytics transformations.
- Experience presenting analytical strategies and portfolio updates to senior leadership.

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee may occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. and kneel and bend. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working conditions include normal office setting.
