Job Summary
The Business Analyst of Sales & Marketing Operations (BA) works closely with stakeholders across functions to help data reporting and analysis to support strategic initiatives that boost revenue, drive operations, and improve efficiency for continuous growth. Supports the managing of the CRM system, proper documentation, and reporting on activity metrics. The BA provides revenue and retention funnel analysis and data liquidity across business systems. The BA works with other marketing, channel partners, sales, and client success team members to advance the strategic analysis needed to drive business decisions and performance.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Create monthly sales, marketing, channel, and client success operational reporting
- Work with functional leaders to identify sources of required information and develop processes to extract to analyze performance and provide summary results
- Identify , assemble, analyze, and track metrics and derive/communicate insights
- Develop consistent reporting frameworks to analyze data sources
- Interface with colleagues to develop and implement processes, standardized reports, and other operational improvements
- Support technology-related project efforts to improve operational efficiency, support sales operations initiatives and enhance business processes
- Support management and proper documentation within the company’s technology business systems: CRM, ERP, etc.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses as needed
- Update KPI's and other reports to help business leaders make informed strategic decisions
Qualifications
Knowledge & Requirements
- Distinctive analysis skills, ability to use quantitative analysis to derive at qualitative insights
- Demonstrates ability to determine and manage, time, and scope of concurrent projects and priorities.
- Experience with Hubspot, ExactTarget, or similar marketing CRM platform.
- Experience with Salesforce, Dynamics, Netsuite or similar CRM/ERP system.
- Understanding of inbound and outbound, integrated marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrates ability to partner with department managers and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with best practices in lead gen, sales activities, and account management metrics and KPIs.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including strong knowledge of excel)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Travel Requirements: Domestic and/or International, up to 10%
Education & Experience Requirements - Minimum years of work experience: 5 years
- Superior Excel skills, knowledge of Microsoft BI, Tableau, or Google Looker is ideal
- Minimum level of education or education or experience: Bachelors Degree
- BS degree in Business, Management, Marketing with quantitative discipline
