MHA Alternate Site Care Division (ASCD)
Achieving success in the home infusion and specialty pharmacy market requires a comprehensive range of solutions and insights to create efficiencies, improve revenue, and drive out costs. MHA’s Alternate Site Care Division partners with independent and regional specialty pharmacies and infusion providers to deliver competitive contracting, technology enablement, managed care solutions, analytics, and strategic growth support.
Who We’re Looking For
The Business Development Executive, ASCD, is a results-driven sales professional with experience identifying, cultivating, and winning new opportunities within the Home Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy GPO environment. This individual will drive new member acquisition, promote MHA’s ASCD product portfolio, and build strong executive relationships within specialty and infusion organizations nationally.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Business Development & Sales
- Consultative Selling mindset that can identify, qualify, present, and close significant new business opportunities at the National level within Specialty Pharmacy and Home Infusion.
- Manage pipeline development using Salesforce CRM with disciplined forecasting and territory management.
- Develop and leverage relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, specialty networks, and infusion stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Member Engagement leaders to ensure smooth onboarding and account transition.
- Complex deal structuring and negotiation capability to navigate multi-stakeholder, multi-year agreements and balance value creation with margin protection.
- Conduct in-person meetings nationally (50-75% travel).
- Maintain national territory travel and expense budget.
Business Planning
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to convert competitive GPO and product solution business to MHA ASCD.
- Understands P&L impact, margin drivers, contracting economics, reimbursement models, and ROI articulation for members
- Partner cross-functionally with Trade Relations, Finance, Operations, Legal, Analytics, and Marketing.
- Promote MHA’s technology, contracting programs, and specialty channel services.
- Communicate external sales and marketing initiatives developed by internal stakeholders.
Market Leadership & Engagement
- Build executive-level relationships within specialty pharmacy and infusion leadership teams.
- Participate in industry organizations and national conferences to enhance brand presence.
- Monitor competitive landscape and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of outside sales experience in Specialty Pharmacy, Home Infusion, Pharmaceutical, or GPO environments.
- Knowledge of specialty distribution, reimbursement, payer dynamics, and manufacturer contracting models.
- Proven track record closing large national deals.
- Strong CRM, forecasting, and sales analytics proficiency.
- Ability to operate in regulated healthcare environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
