Brief Description
The Business Analyst partners with our customers to deliver expert solutions to their business needs. The BA will display an in-depth understanding of our software capabilities and requirements and will be able to communicate those to customers for optimal performance in their business environment. The BA works in constant collaboration with our clients to deliver business solutions and maintain clear communication and forecasts for development and implementation of software solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with customers to gain understanding of their business and software needs and challenges.
- Accurately forecast the effort required to develop, implement and deliver software products to client, requiring a deep knowledge of the software development process.
Communicates customer needs and requirements to the Development team
- Manage technical difficulties from project conception through implementation, working closely with Development team to problem solve and forecast project status
Requirements
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent Customer Service orientation and desire to collaborate with customers to deliver business solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to facilitate a team to consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions
- Effectively manage simultaneous priorities/projects
- Ability to fluently talk with customers about product needs and accurately document requirements formally or informally depending on the need of the project
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles such as Scrum and Agile
- Familiarity with requirements techniques such as, user stories, use cases, and informal modeling
- Up to 10% travel to customer sites
- Prior experience in a Business Analyst role preferred
Education Or Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or related area
Ability to communicate effectively
- High level of alertness, concentration, accuracy, and time-management
