A rapidly growing digital/mail order pharmacy in Northern Kentucky is seeking five dedicated pharmacists for direct hire opportunities. This role focuses on dispensing predominantly generic medications, along with select brand and specialty drugs, serving patients nationwide across all 50 states plus DC. With a strong volume of over 200,000 prescriptions processed monthly and plans for account expansion, this pharmacy offers a fast-paced environment ideal for adaptable pharmacy professionals.
Location: Covington, KY (on-site)
Schedule
- Flexible shifts starting between 6:00 AM and 10:30 AM
- Typically four days on an early shift and one day on a later shift each week
- Weekend rotations approximately every 6th or 8th weekend (minimal weekend operations anticipated)
Key Responsibilities
- Process and accurately dispense prescription orders
- Provide pharmaceutical care and counseling to patients
- Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation, particularly for controlled substances
- Collaborate with physicians to resolve prescription-related issues
- Utilize multiple pharmacy systems and automation technology (notably Parata automation) effectively
Desired Qualifications/Experience
- PharmD or RPh with active Kentucky pharmacy license (licenses for additional states advantageous)
- Minimum one year of pharmacy experience, including retail or mail order experience preferred
- Familiarity with retail pharmacy automation systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent communication skills
- Dependable, adaptable, and a team-oriented mindset
