This Product Manager opportunity within our Data Science Center of Excellence provides an exciting chance to lead an outstanding team of data scientists. You will play a direct role in implementing innovative data solutions that uncover new revenue streams and growth opportunities. - Operate as the product owner of our Intelligence Generation Scrum Team.
- Communicate with collaborators to incorporate their needs in the product backlog, keeping them updated.
- Examine and detail the business's current operations, find gaps, assess readiness for change, and see potential for new capabilities.
- Own prioritization of the Scrum team-level product backlog with some priorities inherited from the parent program roadmap and release plan.
- Validate backlog deliverables are complete by defining acceptance criteria and ensuring criteria have been met by the Scrum team upon deployment to users.
- Increase the value of the team’s product portfolio – data science models that empower Thermo Fisher sales and marketing teams.
- Ensure there is enough “ready” product backlog items to keep the team of data scientists at maximum efficiency level.
- Represent the team in program-level product owner sync-ups to coordinate and communicate shifting priorities and verify alignment with program and enterprise vision.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in product management, computer science, computer engineering, marketing, statistics, data analytics, or equivalent.

- Ability to analyze situations, apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical, detailed, and creative solutions.
- Strong teammate with outstanding leadership skills.
- Self-starter with experience working within, influencing within, and networking within the political climate of a large matrixed organization.
Desired Qualifications
