We are looking for an HR Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities. HR Intern responsibilities include updating our employee records with new hire information, auditing of data and changes, revising job descriptions, and updating organizational charts. This is a role working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM based on site in our Corporate - Sugar Land, TX location.
What the Human Resources Intern Does Each Day:
- Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
- Revise job descriptions to match current staffing needs; ensure that job descriptions are organized and archived properly within our HR systems and shared drives
- Update organizational chart and position seats
- Assist with compliance documentation such as FMLA leave paperwork
- File employee documentation in personnel folders
- Help with audits on employee files; assist with corrections needed after the audit to stay in compliance
- Address employee queries about benefits (like number of remaining vacation days)
- Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies
- Participate in organizing company events and careers days

Minimum Requirements for this Role:
- Experience as a Staff Assistant or similar junior HR role is a plus
- Familiarity with HRIS databases
- Experience with MS Office
- Organizational skills
- BS in Human Resources Management or similar field
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills
