This is a partner facing role meaning you will be working directly with our operational partners. This role will support end-to-end Risk Adjustment and Quality operations and their end-to-end analytical needs. The team you’ll be part of is the key information driver for a business of 12,000+ team members. Expected to work across teams in our highly matrixed environment, you’ll need to be able to translate the highly technical work you do to those that don’t naturally speak such languages.
Ideally, the individual who fills this role will become the go-to person for the programs they support. It’s easy to find a SQL coder. It’s easy to find project managers. Primary Responsibilities
- Help the business understand how their programs are running as well as how individual staff are performing
- Proactively and continuously develop reporting and analytical tools
- Responsible for both internal, operations, and client facing reporting
- Perform routine and ad-hoc deep dive analyses to uncover insights critical to success
- Expected to delve deep into yet unexplored enterprise grade data warehouses using your SQL talents
- Gather business requirements, report support, and development using SQL Server, SQL Agent, Stored Procedures, Views, PowerBI, Tableau, SSRS, and Excel
- Write SQL and create SQL reports
- Communicate and collaborate with our partners to drive the business forward

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of analytical experience including a solid understanding of databases, business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting
- Proven excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proven intermediate level of proficiency with SQL (CTEs, indexed temp tables, Stored Procedures, etc.)
- Proven intermediate level of proficiency with Data Visualization / BI Tools. (ex. Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS). (Level notes: theory differences, functionality differences, descriptive tooltips, dual-category-donut-charts, LOD functions, DAX, etc.)
- Proven intermediate level of proficiency with Excel (Data Model, PivotTables, slicers, direct connections, named ranges, table references, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated eye for detail, design sense, visualization aesthetics
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment
- Ability to work with less structured, more complex issues
- Administrative reliability (SQL Agent Job Monitor, PowerBI monitor, Tableau monitor)
- Health care industry experience

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
