Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Reporting & Analytics, the Indirect Procurement Senior Analyst is responsible for the advanced analysis needs for Indirect Procurement team as well as providing technical support to Analysts on the reporting team. The senior analyst works with the Indirect Procurement leadership to define reporting, develop analytics solutions and the delivery of intelligence strategies. This position will function as the analytics tool expert providing on-demand reporting and training to users.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assesses analytics and reporting needs providing recommendations for enhanced solutions, and specifications for business intelligence tools
Utilizes business intelligence tools providing detailed reporting and analysis
Manages the delivery of BI solutions
Ensures reporting needs across functional areas are prioritized to support deployment strategies and business needs
Establishes protocols to extract data in a standardized process from a variety of data sources
Defines and develops data management standards and processes to effectively manage data through the reporting life cycle
Performs data mining of indirect procurement information for all categories
Designs and develops prototypes and models for database, data integrations and data transformation needs
Maintains and develops strong working relationships with business owners as a process advocate
Utilizes subject matter expertise to customize reporting efforts to address business and sourcing strategy needs
Reviews and updates data management processes and tools
Stays updated on procurement analytics tools and techniques
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science
Requires a minimum of five (5) years’ related experience
Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboards
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite tools and other software as required
Advanced skills using MS Excel and analytics tools
Knowledge of indirect category spend data
Strong business planning, analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and identify and apply appropriate solutions
Experience with business intelligence tools, capabilities, and best practices
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Record of project management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects of various diverse scope in a cross-functional environment
