Under the general direction of the Director, Global Business Resilience (GBR), the Global Watch Coordinator role supports the GBR program by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to Incident Management (IM) and Crisis Management (CM) and Business Continuity (BC) intelligence data.
The Global Watch Coordinator provides awareness, indications, and warnings of current or developing events, primarily through developing threat assessment reports; providing continuous analytical support; delivering threat intelligence briefings; and conducting real-time risk assessments
. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes technical and business requirements that drive critical business functions and, provides proactive and timely emergency notifications to relevant stakeholders to support operational readiness and protect against threats worldwide.
- Uses multiple data gathering, analytical and mapping tools to research, compile, analyze and disseminate timely and accurate intelligence information on emerging threats that could negatively impact AB operations globally to ensure rapid, effective response to threats, incidents, and developing emergencies.
- Compiles and distributes trend analysis reports.
- Assists in configuring, maintaining, and managing various intelligence gathering tools and data repositories.
- Recognizes crisis situations and initiates emergency notifications using independent judgment and professional training in accordance with incident management best practices, AB policies and standard operating procedures.
- Participates in emergency notification and crisis management drills.
- Assists with the execution of business continuity and crisis management plan(s).
- Assists in employee business continuity awareness / crisis management efforts as needed.
- Provides support to the AB Corporate Security Department.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in Law Enforcement, Intelligence Analysis, Political Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically has a minimum of one (1) year of experience in intelligence/crime/threat analytics, business continuity, GIS, law enforcement, military, security, call center operation, disaster recovery, or risk management.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of current methods used in performing threat and hazard analysis from various information sources
- Basic understanding of geography and current geopolitical events
- Strong computer skills in application of Microsoft Office tools required.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, team members and management; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Disciplined program, project, and time management skills with the proven ability to work in a cross functional, matrixed, and diverse workforce environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the security, confidentiality, and integrity of sensitive data
- A self-starter, highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
- Detail orientated and disciplined to solve problems with the ability to resolve issues and drive solutions that create win-win situations
- Experience with analyzing data and translating into broader concepts
- Strong research skills, including ability to quickly research and provide analysis on complex and unfamiliar topics
