Who We’re Looking For:
The Senior Vice President of Operations will be an experienced executive responsible for leading strategy, planning, process improvements and optimization, data measurement and the day-to-day execution of the Operations teams, which include Contract Operations, Membership Operations, and Data & Reconciliation. These teams provide critical shared services across business lines and contribute significantly to MHA's overall performance and growth plan.
The Operations leader will develop and maintain relationships with Business Partners to create innovative solutions that address complex business challenges for MHA, its partners, and customers. By collaborating with peers, they will influence the implementation of solutions that reimagine end-to-end enterprise processes with a focus on value creation. They will coach and mentor teams to adopt strategic and growth-minded methodologies, building a resilient organization that meets its commitments.
This role requires maintaining close relationships with the executive team to escalate issues and provide updates on operational performance, which must include key metrics and data reflecting MHA's core activities and support for its portfolio of products. The ideal candidate will have experience designing a data-driven Operations team focused on industry trends in the healthcare data outcomes space and customer success. They will build effective processes and tools to enhance value creation, realization, and capture, motivating their teams to improve competencies and prioritize value-add activities while eliminating non-value-add tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and implement innovative business strategies to improve operational effectiveness and profitability in identified growth areas.
- Exhibit an execution-oriented mindset, demonstrating impact through effective operational strategies.
- Deep understanding of a marketplace, platform, or multi-sided healthcare network business model (e.g., GPO, PSAO), ensuring efficient and optimal user experience for both the supply and demand side of the platform.
- Collaborate with leadership on operational performance and improvement initiatives.
- Proven success in developing comprehensive operations strategy for a portfolio of products.
- Engage with external partners and industry leaders to enhance long-term growth opportunities.
Process Improvement & Measurement
- Lead with a radical redesign mindset to implement process improvement initiatives, utilizing appropriate methodologies.
- Enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness by utilizing enterprise-wide key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint areas for operational improvement throughout the organization.
- Develop performance dashboards that align with organizational priorities.
- Measure the effectiveness of operational procedures to analyze labor utilization, work prioritization, operating margin, and costs.
- Manage the operations budget, conducting cost analyses and forecasting for informed financial decisions.
- Apply analytical problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and process enhancement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and streamline operations.
Optimization & Prioritization
- Lead process improvement initiatives with a redesign mindset, using appropriate methodologies.
- Build relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure contract adherence and execution.
- Optimize Data and Reconciliation, Membership Operations, and Contract Operations to enhance value creation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive operational policies and procedures.

What You’ll Bring To The Table:
- BA/BS in business or related concentration; graduate degree, STEM degrees preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior leadership operations roles.
- 10+ years of experience developing enterprise process productivity and effectiveness metrics which focus on customer perspective and the company’s value stream.
- Healthcare and supply chain operations are highly preferred.
- Process engineering background: BPO, Lean, Radical Redesign, and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience and working knowledge of building advanced master data management architecture and practices.
- Strong business analytical skills, combined with the ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
- Ability to scale and scope operations team to support rapidly expanding organizational needs.
- Capability to establish efficient cross-functional working relations with Business Partners, MHA, and Operations.
- Superior leadership and people management skills; superior communications skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires a quick turnaround and quality output with high attention to detail.
