Our Data Scientist plays a vital role within our organization. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include the development of artificial intelligence and data assets. This position is responsible for accessing and building data sets, designing and conducting complex analysis, and creating and delivering data visualizations and reports. A strong ability to interpret findings, clearly communicate results, and make recommendations to other members of the LogicStream team and our customers is imperative. In addition, this role will provide support and innovation for our advanced client-facing needs. This is a hybrid position located in the Minneapolis / Twin Cities office.
What The Data Scientist Does Each Day
- Develop analytical approaches to strategic business decisions
- Extract, cleanse, and combine data from multiple sources and systems
- Write SQL programs to access, clean, and transform required data prior to analysis and reporting
- Perform exploratory and targeted analyses, with a wide variety of statistical methods
- Collaborate cross-functionally to arrive at actionable insights
- Effectively communicate technical analyses and results to business management
- Develop and continually improve multi-source data architecture and analytics procedures, systems, and workflows
- Contribute to the development of end-to-end data driven solutions
- Gather requirements and serve as data experts with development, product management and customer success teams. Take front-end needs and translate them into achievable technical tasks
- Efficiently manage long-term projects, starting with hypothesis development and data gathering, then analysis and modeling, and through to communications and recommendations
- Troubleshoot and perform data audits to ensure and improve data integrity; investigate and resolve data discrepancies
- Develop and improve performance models using machine learning
- Test and evaluate the quality of algorithms using statistical methods
- Network across the organization to identify and communicate opportunities to apply data science and machine learning to product design and processes

- Effectively manages multiple projects and activities on a routine basis with minimal supervision
- Understands testing and evaluating the quality of data sets, algorithms and visualizations
- Is Familiar with HIPAA, PHI and Quality and Safety Regulations
Minimum Requirements For This Role
- A bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field
- 3+ years of work experience in a predictive analytics-focused role
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and predictive/analytical modeling techniques and practices
- Experience synthesizing and presenting analytics outcomes to senior executives
- Experience with data preparation, rationalization, and processing in a cloud environment
- Highly proficient with one or more data mining/predictive modeling tools: SQL, Snowflake, R, Python
- Highly proficient with one or more data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of one or more Electronic Health Record Platforms (Cerner or EPIC preferred)
- Strong SQL query writing skills in a Microsoft environment
- Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
