How You’ll Add Value
The Training Specialist is responsible for the creation/editing of technical Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, Work Instructions and training modules.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for the technical training program, which includes but is not limited to:
- Creation of competency-based training curriculum.
- Implementation of policies and procedures via documentation software.
- Facilitating training classes.
- Tracking individual training to align with company needs and personal development.
- Provide leadership of multidisciplinary teams toward a common objective.
- Develops the training strategy based on input from subject matter experts and ensure training is executed in a timely manner with supporting documentation.
- Create actionable strategies that ensure the smooth and timely start-up, integration, and quality execution of training projects.
- Propose recommendations and solutions that increase the likelihood of consistent operational success.
- Develop appropriate best practices resulting in standardized and streamlined global processes and efficient use of resources.
- Work closely with technical management to develop strategic initiatives that focus on competency and development of technical staff.
- Design training strategies/methodologies and curriculum to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions.
- May require up to 50% travel.
What You Will Bring
- University degree (Bachelor) or equivalent experience
- 1 year min. instructional writing experience
- 1 year min. experience conducting instructor led training
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Excellent computer skills including
- Internet for research
- Document creation
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Critical Thinking / Investigative Mindset
- Strong orientation to detail
- Good working relations and communications with colleagues and customers
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and ability to work independently
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage long term projects
- Ability to initiate and complete tasks
