TraceLink, the leading cloud-based platform for end-to-end supply chain management and compliance solutions in the life sciences industry, is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Revenue Accounting to oversee and enhance our revenue processes.
This role will drive operational excellence in billing, collections, and cash flow management while aligning with TraceLink’s Leadership Principles, which guide how we operate, make decisions, and deliver value to our customers. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in SaaS revenue models and subscription-based billing systems to scale operations, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards like ASC 606.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team that is responsible for Revenue Operations, including: Accurate recording,
recognition and reporting of revenue related to customer transactions, Contract review,
Billing, Collections, Budgeting & Forecasting, Sales Collaboration, Account
reconciliations, Audit support, Management reporting and Technology enhancements.
- Interface with Deal Desk and Sales Operations to ensure completeness and accuracy of order forms and contractual terms in Salesforce CPQ. Assist with renewal terms and contractual changes as needed.
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, IT and Sales & Marketing Operations to create efficient
workflows to support a high-volume of transactions while adhering to accounting
principles and regulations, specifically, ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with
Customers.
- Partner with the Legal department to interpret contract terms to ensure proper revenue
accounting and to reduce organizational risk with associated contracts
- Develop and maintain revenue and billing & collection policies and procedures to
support an efficient organization that delivers accurate and timely information to the
business.
- Maintain KPI’s and other department metrics such as ARR, Churn and Renewals to
provide performance insights to Management
- Maintain technology systems and integrations to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
of all revenue-related activities, customer data and key business reporting. Enhance
processes to increase team productivity and scalability and to ensure financial records
meet the highest standards of integrity.
- Support internal and external audits through the preparation of schedules,
documentation and account reconciliations. Maintain strong working relationships with
external auditors.
- Optimize the revenue close process through automation, standardization, reviews,
training and cross-functional collaboration. Report results timely on a consistent basis.

Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in revenue operations or accounts receivable, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within a SaaS or subscription-based organization.
- Strong experience with technology systems – NetSuite, Salesforce and Clarizen (PSA), and
Excel
- Strong understanding of subscription billing models, recurring revenue streams, and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
