What Chemical/ Pharmaceutical Ops contribute to Cardinal Health
- Cardinal Health Nuclear Manufacturing Services is a specialized manufacturing facility that involves the production of radiopharmaceuticals-nuclear drugs-for use in nuclear medicine diagnostic studies.
- Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
- Works on basic and routine assignments
- Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works under close supervision. All work is reviewed for accuracy
- Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
Shift/Schedule
- 4x10s
- Saturday - Tuesday
- 9:30am – 8:00pm
- Must be flexible to work other hours and days as needed
Responsibilities
- Be able to successfully complete extensive required training, including e-learning assignments and hands on components, to demonstrate and maintain proficiency.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) without deviation, to characterize materials, monitor chemical reactions and assure quality of final products.
- Understand and adhere to all Certified Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to ensure compliance and regulatory mandates are met.
- Demonstrate strong documentation practices, oral communication, and writing skills. Perform clerical and administrative services including maintenance of daily delivery records, report preparation and maintenance records.
- Perform general laboratory and facility clean up.
- Learn and practice FDA regulations as they pertain to the job function
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1- 2 years manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience is preferred
- Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting and holding of small objects.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination in order to label, dispense, finish, and package drug product.
- Able to follow detailed processing instructions
- Lifting: Frequent lifting between 50-75 lbs
- Ability to manage several tasks at the same time; Ability to focus on tasks ; Ability to evaluate operating conditions ; Ability to exercise sound judgment Personal Protective Equipment
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to be an effective team member.
- A valid drivers’ license is required.
