Job Summary
Responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks involved in the shipping and receiving of materials, supplies and equipment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive and distribute shipments of samples, supplies and equipment according to schedule or established methods.
- Assists with the ordering of dept. supplies as well as the sites coffee and printer paper supplies.
- Responsible for returning courier/sponsor credo coolers.
- Assists with the Fooda and Prestige programs as needed.
- Operate hand or power operated fork truck, pallet jack or other motorized equipment to unload and transport supplies or equipment.
- Perform data entry in receiving materials through the current Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing program.
- Prepare and Package outgoing materials for shipment to clients and other CRL sites according to IATA and DOT regulations.
- Maintain the dock and the shipping and receiving area in an orderly fashion.
- Prepare, maintain and distribute appropriate documentation for all materials shipped.
- Coordinate same day courier pick-ups relative to study and site needs, as necessary.
- May assist in training entry-level Shipping and Receiving employees.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $23.00 and $28.00 an hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Job Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
- Experience: 2-4 years related experience working in shipping and/or receiving required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Certification/Licensure: Driver’s license.
- Other: Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities; attention to detail, computer literacy; and the ability to interact appropriately with all levels of employees.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and type at a computer.
- Employee will also be required to stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, push and pull objects, lift/carry at least 50 lbs, and use hands and feet repetitively.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, crouch, kneel, balance objects, and drive trucks and equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- General office working conditions, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee frequently works with moving equipment.
- May also be exposed to dust, gas and fumes.
- May be exposed to the elements when transporting packages to and from buildings.
