Summary:
Responsible for leading and managing a team of analysts through designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. Serves as subject matter expert for crafting and executing queries for data requests and presenting insights and information via reports and visualizations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Guide and influence the translation of business needs into data solutions
Manage prioritization of internal business requests/needs
Oversee and grow customer analytics consulting
Coach and develop individuals
Oversee the quality of team output
Communicate project and team statuses, barriers, etc. to leadership
Facilitate regular engagement and communication with both internal and external customers
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of business processes and direction
Complete projects on an ad hoc basis
Perform related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience
7 + years of relevant IT and business work experience
Requires experience in leading teams and building relationships with people at a variety of levels
Requires demonstrated ability to launch and deliver a single IT project on time and within budget
Proven experience as a BI Developer with hands-on knowledge of one or more business intelligence tools (Microsoft Power BI, Qlikview, Business Objects)
In-depth knowledge of, and experience, with data analysis techniques
Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines
Good analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
Good ability to identify issues, troubleshoot underlying problems, and implement solutions
Good interpersonal skills; effective team player
