Job Description
Essential Functions:
In order to work effectively as a Software Engineer V, the position is expected to:
- Architect and Drive High-Level Solutions: Lead the architecture, design, and development of advanced software systems using C++, ensuring that all solutions are highly scalable, performant, and meet company standards for quality and security.
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to engineers across all levels, fostering technical growth, sharing knowledge, and driving a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Strategic Planning: Work with senior management to align technical initiatives with business strategy, identify and address potential risks, and set long-term goals for software development and technology.
- Innovate and Influence: Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to influence future technical direction, tools, and processes that will keep the company at the cutting edge.
- Ensure Best Practices: Establish and enforce software engineering best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and documentation to ensure long-term maintainability and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with Product Management, QA, and other departments to ensure product goals are achievable, technical requirements are met, and a shared vision is executed successfully.
- Optimize Performance and Reliability: Drive initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability. This includes profiling, debugging, and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Lead Complex Projects: Take full ownership of high-impact, large-scale projects, coordinating across multiple teams and providing technical direction from planning through execution and release.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Expert level knowledge of C++, VC++, MFC
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large, complex software projects in a senior technical role.
- Extensive experience with system design, architectural decision-making.
- Experience with performance optimization, profiling, debugging, and system-level programming.
- Familiarity with C++ libraries and frameworks.
- Working experience in developing and deploying WebAPI RESTFul services, Windows Service and Desktop applications
- Knowledge of windows operating system and drivers
- Hands-on experience of unit testing and integration testing
- Moderate SQL skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong leadership skill
- Full Software Development Life Cycle knowledge, including Agile development principal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in using C#, Angular, WPF, microservices
- Experience with IONIC and Electron
- Prior experience working in healthcare industry is a plus
- Windows driver knowledge
