Title: Entry Level Microbiology Technician

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 13 Months + Possible Extension/ Conversion

Job Description

Will assist a daily team of Technicians by collecting samples, test in-process samples, and finished samples.
Media making
Daily water collecting and testing.
Will make and record observations.
Preform simple calculations.
Help in support functions; stocking and distributing supplies, collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
Other tasks as needed.

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Microsoft Office skills
Ability to multitask
Aseptic technique
Microbiology background
Previous lab experience

Education

Associate degree with at least 2 years lab experience (experience can be college lab work) OR Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Food Science straight from college.
Manager will consider candidates graduating soon.

Additional

0-2 years relevant experience.
Accepting recent graduates or soon to graduate.
A Master’s degree might be overqualified for this role.
