JOB DESCRIPTION
The Supply Chain Operations Specialist is a diverse role responsible for managing and monitoring multiple supply chain processes, optimizing supply chain financials, not limited to managing the CAPEX process for Cold Chain Technologies for all facilities. This includes requesting, tracking, and conversion of inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Request CAPEX to cover the needs of all facilities.
- Maintain accurate accounting of such inventory from request, conversion to balance of CAPEX. Requires strong communication with all plants.
- Create and monitor the transfer process of products required at the Reuse Sites, including 3PL partners performing refurb/conditioning activities. This would include attending weekly calls.
- Planner for 3PL’s. Responsible for ensuring orders for these locations are communicated, fulfilled and shipped. This would include processing ship confirms for these locations.
- Responsible for Synergy Sample Requests are submitted correctly and ensuring they get to the appropriate planner for processing.
- Primary responsible for retrieving supplier credits when due for defective returned product. Works closely with Buyers to maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring timely payment.
- Performs site activations as required to support the business. Will require some attendance at NPI meetings.
- Other projects as assigned, focused on process improvement and cost optimization
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a discipline relevant to Materials Management or Operations
- 5+ years of applicable experience in planning, purchasing and/or materials management
- Significant working experience with a computerized, top-tier ERP system
- Working knowledge of ISO-9001, six sigma and Lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Significant experience with MS Office and database software applications
- Occasional travel
