Position Summary
This position is an entry level professional software development role. Incumbents will deepen their expertise in C#, .NET Core, Node.js, Blazor, and TypeScript. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development, design, and implementation of sophisticated web applications, APIs, and microservices, all while supporting our strategic business goals.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Design and develop robust web applications using C#, .NET Core, Blazor, and Node.js.
- Build scalable and maintainable APIs and microservices using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Collaborate with team members to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement them using Blazor and TypeScript.
- Support the integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
- Adhere to clean coding practices, conduct code reviews, and maintain standard compliance.
- Participate actively in troubleshooting, debugging, and updating current live applications.
- Document and maintain software functionality and ensure code is tested and robust.
- Learn about new technologies and stay up to date with industry best practices to enhance workflow and functionalities.
- Stay updated with the latest innovations in data engineering and introduce new tools and techniques to keep the data infrastructure at the forefront

Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Master’s degree in related field a plus.
Required Knowledge:
- General knowledge of advanced concepts, practices and procedures related to design and implementation of robust data pipelines
- Proven expertise in Databricks administration and managing large-scale data environments.
- Experience with C#, .NET Core, and familiarity with the Blazor framework
- Familiarity Node.js and writing server-side application logic in JavaScript or TypeScript
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years [nine (9) years for non-degreed candidates] of experience in a data engineering role with significant exposure to Databricks, Delta Lake, and cloud platforms like GCP.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Unity Catalog and managing data access and security within a Databricks environment.
- Knowledge of Java Archive (JAR) files and their applications in data projects.

Professional Certification:
- Certifications in data engineering or a related field a plus
Physical requirements
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for prolonged periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts to 20 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working condition include normal office setting.
