Job Title: Data Analyst II (Band 5)
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday - Friday
What will you do?
The Enterprise Services Data Analyst will work closely with business users to collect requirements and build scalable and optimum PBI solutions. They are a self-starter who is a creative problem solver with a good technical and business background who is able to visualize the hidden insights in data. They will craft, develop and implement solutions that will drive impactful insights for our business and customers across the Enterprise Services organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply your expertise in specific data, forecasting/analysis methods, and visualization capabilities to provide valuable suggestions to business collaborators.
- Analyze data to obtain meaningful business and customer insights
- Participates in business and executive meetings to gather requirements and make recommendations reporting/BI solutions
- Design, build, deliver and maintain world-class reporting for all areas of the business using Power BI. Delivery will be to internal users as well as external customers.
- Assists in the daily support of end-users’ ability to effectively and efficiently apply the reporting platform.
- Development of reporting that will be applied to maintain data quality and data integrity between two different systems of record.
- Utilization of SQL to develop database objects for utilization in reporting.
- Direct support and collaboration with Operations group to identify areas of inconsistency in data. Provide reporting as needed to enable and support Operations.
- Collaborating with team to ensure data quality and integrity in data warehouse platforms for BI reporting
- Supporting development of BI roadmap based on project prioritization and budget
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the various business processes, datasets, and BI work you'll be involved in.
- Proactively address scalability and performance issues
- Communicate and collaborate with users to analyze information needs and functional requirements
- Collaborate with developers and domain experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
How will you get here?
- BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- 4+ years working experience in delivering BI solutions with a strong preference of experience working in the Power BI service
- 4+ years working experience in SQL that includes writing complex queries
- Experienced with analyzing data to obtain insights
- Experience installing, configuring and maintaining BI platforms
- Proven track record in developing and crafting metrics to measure performance
- Excellent knowledge of business processes and standard methodologies
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and ETL development
- Must be eligible to permanently work in the US without sponsorship
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Capable of prioritizing multiple projects while still achieving deadlines
- Advanced to Expertise within SQL Server
- Proficiency in Python is a bonus
