This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize multiple reports to ensure the accuracy of billing transactions
- Review and validate customer pricing and setup
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
- Assist with invoice preparation and reconciliation of billing to A/R; Monitor outstanding A/R balances and take appropriate obligations
- Test system changes
- Intern audit of invoices
- Analyzes and investigates.
- Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise.
- This function is responsible for medical and ancillary product premium billing.
- Positions in this function interact with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies.
- Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function.
- Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed.
- Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables.
- May also include quality assurance and audit of billing activities.
Note: Positions mainly responsible for more general A/R activities which do not include medical and ancillary premium billing activities can be found in the Accounts Receivable function in the Finance job family. This is not a medical billing or medical coding position. *Employees in jobs labeled with ‘SCA’ must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR Older
- 2+ years of billing experience, preferably with Government contracting or a similar industry
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and integrated accounting systems
- Advances Excel skills including data manipulation
- Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel skills with Macros
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, SAP)
- Understanding of federal billing regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FAR, DFAR)
- Experience with contract types: cost-reimbursable, fixed-price, time and materials
Telecommuting Requirements
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Soft Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with clients, internal teams, and government agencies
- Ability to collaborate in a remote or distributed team environment
- Proven experience in customer relationship management and issue resolution
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
