Primary Function
The Business Application Specialist is responsible for assisting in administering, supporting, and enhancing the Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system at Health Care Logistics. This role focuses on ensuring optimal system functionality, providing technical support to users, and coordinating with third-party vendors to implement solutions and upgrades. The specialist will collaborate across teams to improve system utilization, ensure data integrity, and drive process improvements. Success in this role requires technical expertise, effective communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of business operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support the Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system, including maintaining user access, managing configurations, and assist in implementing system updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex ERP issues as part of Tier 2 support and escalate unresolved issues.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to address system enhancements, upgrades, and bug fixes efficiently.
- Develop and maintain Crystal Reports to generate actionable insights/improve reporting accuracy.
- Facilitate business process improvements in key areas such as invoicing, order entry, pick/pack, purchasing, and receiving.
- Monitor system performance using LogicMonitor or similar tools to proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
- Manage user roles and permissions within the ERP system, ensuring compliance with internal security policies.
- Document system configurations and changes thoroughly to provide reference materials and meet audit requirements.
- Participate in ERP projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new feature implementations, to enhance overall system functionality.
- Maintain eCommerce integrations and support tax calculations using Avalara Tax as needed.
- Provide post-implementation support to gather feedback from users and identify improvement opportunities.
- Deliver training and technical support to end users, creating and updating user guides and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement network configurations and monitor ITIL-based service desk operations.
Education/Qualification
Project Management
College degree with a focus in a technology discipline or 4 years technical experience
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Management and administration of the Epicor business systems/related components
Exposure to EDIService Desk (ITIL for work management)
Network fundamentals
Demonstrated experience optimizing business processes like invoicing, order management, inventory control, purchasing, and receiving.
