The role you’ll contribute:
The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor has primary responsibility for the pharmacy automation systems, technician scheduling, technician PDO/sick coverage and technician assignments. Other facility specific assignments may include patient billing and inventory management activities. If applicable for the facility, information systems must be accessed for pharmacy charge data, AHS CDM databases, wholesaler, purchase files, automated dispensing systems, pharmaceutical contracts and data files.

- Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in:
- Maintains operational expertise in and actively provides coverage of the technician services provided by
- Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems
- Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patientspecific medication doses
· Facilitates medication safety practices
- Maintains continuous learning and pharmacy practice development
· Provides patientcentered care services
· Effectively collaborates with other hospital departments and strategic business unit leader to advance patient care services and pharmacy programs
· Supervises, coordinates, and oversees pharmacy care services and direct patient care programs in a Clinical Pharmacy Division
· Works as an active member of pharmacy clinical programs and multidisciplinary team
· Provides support to direct patient care programs
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Required:
- Three years of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in their respective state
- Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT)
- If applicable to facility Sterile Compounding Certification
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare
