Our Lead Warehouse Technician – Picking plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include overseeing the batch picking processes utilizing manual or automated technology. You will be integral in ensuring that batches are picked in support of production requirements and inventory is accurately transacted and maintained. This is a full-time role for our 3rd shift, working Monday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This is a set, consistent schedule with minimum overtime requirements and based on site in our Sugar Land, TX location. This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws.

What The Lead Warehouse Technician – Picking Does Each Day
- Oversees starting materials and supplies according to the ERP generated picklist to support the batch manufacturing process
- Transacts picked material utilizing an ERP system
- Verifies picked material matches the picklist including material description, reference number, expiration date, and quantity
- Completes accurately all required paperwork including manual entry on batch records and pick lists as well as ERP system transactions using good documentation practices aligned with CGMP and company policies and procedures
- Pulls from inventory items necessary to restock and restocks shelves, ensuring inventory is correctly labeled
- Rotates stock in accordance with "FEFO" First-Expired, First-out procedure
- Notifies supervisor of any shortages of supplies
- Checks for and pulls opened, damaged, expired and/or excess inventory and replaces unusable, damaged, or packaging, labels etc.
- Maintains compliance with all training requirements
- Handles defective, damaged and/or expired inventory in accordance with established departmental policy
- Must maintain technical competencies of Inventory Management system as software is upgraded or new systems are installed to replace existing system
- Provide our key stakeholders with batch statuses to support batch manufacturing schedule adherence
- Unloads trucks of materials and loads recycling material on trucks in a safe, timely and cost- effective manner
- Removes pallets, strapping and packing materials, and moves recycle materials to recycle area
- Receives and puts away material in designated locations to support effective warehouse flow
- Participates in taking physical inventories and/or cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory control
- Verifies bill of lading and packing slips including quantity, vendor lot number, and expiration date, transacts, and reconciles activity ensuring timeliness and accuracy following established departmental procedures and best practices
- Provides advanced skills in INFOR will provide necessary background when investigating receipt issues, cycle count variances and general stock transactions
Our Most Successful Lead Warehouse Technician – Picking
- Possess basic computer and data entry skills including Microsoft Office
- Have experience in AS400 and INFOR or other ERP
- Demonstrate good communication and customer service skills
- Have knowledge of discrete batch manufacturing in pharmaceutical or related field preferred
Minimum Requirements For This Role
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
- Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs. throughout each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
- 18+ years of age
- Requires 2-4 years of experience in anyone, or combination of the following: Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Material handling, Customer Service, Inventory Control or other comparable service line
- Requires the use of Supply Chain technology solutions (e.g., bar code scanners, automated supply cabinets, and other expandable wireless products)
- Requires the checking of reports, records, and related data
- Kanban Training and Train the Trainer qualification
- Understanding of INFOR transaction history
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
