Staff Pharmacist – St. Louis, MO (Direct Hire)
RPh on the Go is seeking Staff Pharmacists for a direct-hire opportunity with a centralized pharmacy operation in St. Louis, MO. This is a great opportunity for pharmacists interested in working in a high-volume, closed-door fulfillment environment while providing direct patient support and clinical services.
Term of Assignment: Direct-Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, with a rotating schedule between 7:30 AM and 9:00 PM.
Job Duties:
- Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education by phone, including questions about new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use
- Collaborate with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that could delay dispensing
- Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
- Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a high-volume closed-door fulfillment environment, ensuring accuracy of drug, dose, quantity, and labeling before dispensing
- Assist pharmacy management staff with receiving, processing, and transferring prescriptions while owning the transfer process from start to finish
Requirements:
- Clear and active Missouri pharmacist license
- Pharmacist experience preferred in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy
- New graduates will be considered
