This direct hire opportunity seeks a skilled Staff Pharmacist with a current Missouri pharmacist license to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, accurate medication dispensing and providing exceptional patient care through counseling and collaboration with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing proactive patient counseling via phone on new prescriptions, refills, side effects, medication adherence, and proper use.
- Collaborating with prescribers to resolve prescription questions or clinical issues that may delay dispensing.
- Reviewing and clinically verifying prescription orders for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy.
- Performing pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a high-volume closed-door fulfillment setting to ensure accuracy of drug, dose, quantity, and labeling before dispensing.
- Assisting pharmacy management with processing, receiving, and transferring prescriptions while managing transfer processes end-to-end.
Qualifications / Desired Experience
- Active pharmacist license in Missouri.
- Experience as a pharmacist preferred in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy settings.
- Recent graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply.
